The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korotkov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hay pinned against the cage. Hay gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hay appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Hay throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Hay cracks Korotkov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hay has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Korotkov to stand back up!

It looks like Artem Korotkov has been cut.
Korotkov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Nick Hay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Artem Korotkov.

Korotkov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hay.
Korotkov shoots in for a takedown but Hay shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hay swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

and Hay counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hay.

Korotkov is trying to push Hay away but Hay has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
