Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ao Ki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marquis Serato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Serato fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ki, pushing him back against the cage.
Ki tries for a takedown but Serato manages to get underhooks.

Ao Ki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marquis Serato.

Ki is trying to trip Serato. He has hold of a leg but Serato is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ki persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Serato drops back looking for a leg! Ki is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ki manages to kick Serato off! Serato jumps back into Ki's guard.

Ki has his foot on Serato's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Serato works his way back into a safe position though.

Serato is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Serato is aware though and is defending well.
Ki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Serato got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Serato has managed to get both his arms back between Ki's legs - danger averted.

Ki sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ki moves in looking to clinch but Serato pushes him off.

Ki tries to close the distance and clinch but Serato swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Serato shoots in for a double leg but Ki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ki seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Ki has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Serato after a bit of a struggle.

Serato is posturing up here but Ki has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Serato tries to roll out but it's too tight and Serato has to tap! Slick submission there by Ki!
