Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bronko Buster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khalidov has chosen Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up as his entrance music. Bronko Buster could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mamed Khalidov's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khalidov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Khalidov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Buster does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Khalidov is thwarting Buster's attempts to control the position.

Buster preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Buster is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Khalidov working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Buster is positioning himself well to prevent Khalidov advancing to mount.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Buster is looking for a sweep. Khalidov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
A leg kick checked by Buster.
Buster throws a big shot that misses.
Khalidov tries to clinch but Buster moves away
and Buster counters with a nice uppercut.
Khalidov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Khalidov bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Buster's head.

It looks like Bronko Buster has been cut.
Buster lands a nice hook to Khalidov's body. Khalidov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Khalidov has managed to clinch.

Khalidov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Khalidov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Buster trying to control but Khalidov is working from the bottom.

Khalidov looking for a guillotine here but Buster defends easily.
Khalidov pulls Buster in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Khalidov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Buster doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Buster manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Khalidov looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Buster trying to control the position from guard on top but Khalidov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Khalidov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buster is one step ahead there.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Buster sitting in guard, not really doing much.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Buster lands a left and a right that send Khalidov crashing to the mat, dazed. Buster thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Khalidov is rocked!

It looks like Mamed Khalidov has been cut.
Khalidov switches off momentarily and Buster cracks him with a monster right hand! Khalidov topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Buster dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Buster!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bronko Buster!
