Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Damozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mendez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Mendez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Damozzi to score with a decent uppercut.

Damozzi pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mendez back to the cage. Damozzi follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Mendez lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Damozzi seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Damozzi seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Damozzi is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Mendez is hurt! He's hurt bad - Damozzi fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Mendez from any more punishment! Congratulations to Damozzi! Great finish!
