Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Heras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Shemus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Heras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Shemus!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heras wants to clinch
and Shemus counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Shemus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Heras as he jumps to the side.
Heras throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Heras tries to sprawl but Shemus drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Heras makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Shemus looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shemus tries for a takedown but Heras sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Heras moves into the clinch successfully.
Shemus is looking for a takedown.
Joshua Heras has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Shemus.
Heras slows down the pace here.
Shemus is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Heras pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Heras breaks from the clinch.
Heras pushes Shemus up against the cage in a clinch.
Shemus manages to break the clinch.

Heras lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shemus's sensitive parts.
Heras pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No joy there for Heras, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Heras scores with a head kick. Shemus tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Shemus is rocked!

and Heras counters with a two punch combo.
Shemus is still on wobbly legs! Can Heras finish him?
Shemus looks winded!
Heras throws a sloppy head kick and Shemus moves out of range easily.
Heras moves into the clinch.
Heras escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Heras will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shemus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Heras avoids it really well and circles away.
Shemus is trying hard to land a takedown here. Heras sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Shemus seems to have recovered his senses.
Heras lands a left and a right that send Shemus crashing to the mat, dazed. Heras thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Heras is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Heras shuts the power down on Shemus. Lights out, game over! Heras is your winner.

Joshua Heras was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
John Shemus spoke after the fight, saying 'gotta do better'.
