The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva takes one on the button.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hapitchou.
The crowd cheers as Hapitchou lands an impressive looking overhand right. Silva doesn't seem phased though.
Silva throws a poor cross that misses
letting Hapitchou counter with a right hand.
Hapitchou is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hapitchou throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hapitchou rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hapitchou tests Silva's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Silva throws a predictable looking body shot
and Hapitchou connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hapitchou cracks Silva with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hapitchou lands with a slapping head kick.
Silva is rocked!
It looks like Kron Silva has been cut.
Hapitchou bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silva's head backwards.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Hapitchou finish him?
Hapitchou walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Silva drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Hapitchou swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Silva's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). PePe Hapitchou!
