Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Ventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Eriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ventura kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Way of Life. Karl Eriksson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura throws a body punch but Eriksson moves out of range.
Ventura misses with a wild body shot.
Quentin Ventura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ventura dips to his left and cracks Eriksson with an uppercut!
Eriksson connects with a leg kick. Ventura looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Ventura lands with a good body shot.
A big right from Eriksson misses.
Eriksson lands an overhand right.
It looks like Quentin Ventura has been cut.
Both fighters circling a little - Eriksson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Eriksson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ventura misses with a body shot
and Eriksson counters with a solid body kick.
Eriksson throws the kick towards the body but Ventura avoids it.
Ventura feinted with a counter takedown.
Ventura throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Eriksson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ventura misses with a hook
and Eriksson counters with a body kick.
Ventura is breathing heavily.
Ventura takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Eriksson stuns Ventura with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ventura has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Eriksson.
Eriksson scores with a push kick.
Nice straight punches there by Eriksson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Eriksson.
Sloppy strikes from Ventura. Those never looked like landing.
Eriksson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ventura looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Eriksson thows a body kick. Ventura tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Ventura takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Eriksson scores with a spinning back kick!
Ventura throws a looping overhand right but Eriksson ducks down to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Eriksson! But no joy.
Eriksson tries a head kick but it misses.
The fighters circling - Ventura throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Eriksson! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Karl Eriksson!
