Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diesel Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sjaardsen Hooj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sjaardsen Hooj has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hooj sizes up Armstrong with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Armstrong darts in trying to clinch
and Hooj cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hooj lands with a right hand.
Hooj keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hooj throws out a powerful jab.

Armstrong rushes Hooj and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Armstrong is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hooj can't fight it off and eventually Armstrong manages to take the fight to the floor. Hooj looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Armstrong is looking to pass into half guard but Hooj pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hooj is in guard.

Let's hope that Hooj has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Hooj scores with a counter punch that sends Armstrong to the canvas! Hooj smells blood - he's punishing Armstrong with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Armstrong has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Sjaardsen Hooj spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
