The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nye with a poor takedown
and Zoranovic counters with a left to the body.
Nye looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Zoranovic instigates a clinch.

Zoranovic gets control of Nye's arms and successfully pulls guard. Zoranovic will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zoranovic is pulling down on Nye's head to control his posture.
Zoranovic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Zoranovic seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
