Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akeen Coker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and De Bruyne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruyne has chosen Busta Rhymes - Other Side Of The Road as his entrance music. Akeen Coker is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, De Bruyne!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coker misses with a low kick as Bruyne jumps back.
Coker jabs Bruyne right on the nose. Bruyne blinks but takes it well.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Coker lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bruyne has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bruyne and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Coker comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That was a close round but I would say that Akeen Coker will probably get the nod.

Bruyne shoots in for a double leg but Coker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coker feints and then cracks Bruyne's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bruyne down.
Coker swats away the attempt to clinch by Bruyne.

Coker will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bruyne up against the cage.

Coker has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Bruyne lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Coker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bruyne's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bruyne's back!
Bruyne has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Akeen Coker.
