Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Balor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sean Balor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Balor!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White clinches up against the cage.

White tightens his grip and picks Balor up, before dumping him to the ground. Balor manages to land in guard.

Balor pushes White off and scrambles back to his feet.

Balor shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
White pushes Balor off looking to stand but Balor dives back in and keeps control.
Balor perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
White looks like he's trying to stand up.
Balor trying to control the pace.
White wants to stand back up but Balor manages to pass into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
White struggling a bit here.
White is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
White is trying to control Balor's posture but Balor avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

White sneaks out the side door and pushes Balor away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Balor moves into the clinch.
White landing knees to the body.
Balor is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

White is trying to trip Balor. He has hold of a leg but Balor is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. White persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

White has gone for a leg lock! Balor slips out almost immediately though and dives into White's guard.

White keeping moving, preventing Balor from controlling successfully.
Balor connects with a couple of short punches.
Balor trying to control but White is working from the bottom.
White wants to get back to his feet but Balor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Balor passes into half guard.

Still in half guard, Balor seems content to control.
White scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Balor manages to mount him!
Balor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
White is trying to escape the mount.
White is trying to stand up.
Balor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as White is looking to escape.
White is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Balor working for a guillotine from mount but White is in no mood to give up.

White is squirming around, avoiding Balor's attempts to control the action.
White is trying desperately to improve position.
Balor scoring with strikes but White is staying in there.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Balor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. White looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

White explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

White shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Balor's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Balor manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

White turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Balor is looking for a sweep.

White swings around for an armbar but Balor sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into White's guard.
Balor wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.

Balor stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Balor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Balor looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
White is wriggling around but Balor manages to pass to half guard.

Balor scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Sean Balor has got the better of the ground game so far.

White is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Balor pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
White wants to get back to full guard but Balor has passed into side control.
Balor wants to lay and pray for a moment but White keeps working.
White can't do much from the bottom here.
White wants to get back to his feet but Balor drags him back down.
White is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Balor tries to advance to mount but can't.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Balor wants to control but White is keeping him busy.
White trying to control but Balor flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

Balor looking to break White's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. White remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Balor will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Balor keeps control of the position as White tries to break free.
White is trying to get back to his feet but Balor has full control of the position and if anything, White has just worked his way into a worse spot.
White turns into Balor and is now in his guard.
Balor has control of White's left arm, preventing White from doing any damage.

White looking to sit in guard and control but Balor gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

White wants to stand and escape but Balor is having none of it.
Balor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Balor seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
White seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
White working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Balor.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Balor stops White from standing up.
Balor sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Balor trying to control but White is working from the bottom.

White wriggles free and stands up.

White manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Balor on his heels. He'll look to pass Balor's guard now, I'm sure.
White stands up over Balor, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
White controlling from the top position.
White pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Balor is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Sean Balor will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Balor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Balor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

White is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Balor presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
White has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Balor is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
White prevents Balor from breaking the clinch.

White has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Balor clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Balor trying to control but not successfully.

Balor is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if White gets his way!

Balor tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Balor sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Balor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

White wants to work for an arm triangle but Balor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Balor moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Balor throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Balor tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

White drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Balor manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now White has Balor in his guard.

White wants to stand and escape but Balor is having none of it.
Tony White has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Balor forces his way into half guard.
Balor is trying to control. White wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Balor tries to pass to full mount but White defends it.
White looks like he's trying to stand up.
Balor working over White with some ground and pound. White looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

White kicks off Balor and gets to his feet.

White fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Balor sprawls well initially but White persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

White decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from White is defended easily by Balor.

Balor has taken the fight to the clinch.

Balor pulls guard.
White stands and throws Balor's legs to the side, diving into side control.

White goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Balor rolls with the submission and now he's on top in White's guard! Nice work there by Balor!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Balor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Balor keeps trying to improve his position.
White wants to stand and escape but Balor is having none of it.
Balor keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of White's head.
White will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Balor trying to control the position from guard on top but White is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Balor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sean Balor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Balor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
