The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mandela closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mandela tries to control but Pittman wriggling away.
You get the feeling that Pittman really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Mandela has hold of Pittman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pittman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Pittman looking to break Mandela's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Mandela remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Pittman will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
