The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Knight stuffs the takedown attempt from Grace. Grace gets slowly back to his feet.
Grace shoots in for a takedown but Knight shows good takedown defense.
Grace has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Knight throws a low kick but Grace moves out of range easily.
Knight ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Grace tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Knight was well out of range. Poor timing from Grace.
Grace lands a nice looking body shot.
Grace throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A nice left hand lands by Knight.
Grace lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Knight backwards.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Knight as Grace tries to tie him up.
Grace swings wildly with an uppercut but Knight uses good head movement to avoid it.
Knight tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Grace tries to land knees in the clinch but Knight avoids the damage to the body.

Knight has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Shovel Knight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Country Grace.

Grace digs a good body shot into Knight's ribs.
Knight pounces like a tiger and cracks Grace with a vicious hook! Grace is down but not out! Knight follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
