The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alvarez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Asikainen's guard.
Asikainen is wriggling around but Alvarez manages to pass to half guard.

Asikainen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alvarez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Alvarez loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Asikainen scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Alvarez land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Alvarez stands and salutes the crowd.
