Gommers is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ross is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gommers to the mat. Gommers regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Gommers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ross on the ground.

Gommers has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
