The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick misses with a takedown attempt
and Ciftci counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Quick on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Ciftci displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Quick.

Quick wants to stand but Ciftci is controlling his posture from full guard.
Quick with a flurry of punches that miss.

Ciftci is looking for a triangle here but Quick uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Quick misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Quick fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Quick throws a strike aimed at the side of Ciftci's head but Ciftci avoids it well.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ciftci is not content to let Quick control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Quick has his feet on Ciftci's thighs here. He's pushed Ciftci off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Ciftci screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
