And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bean rushes Thomas and presses him up against the cage.
Bean tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Thomas just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bean wants to get back to striking at distance but Thomas won't allow it.
Thomas stalling the fight.
Thomas has Bean pressed against the cage, preventing Bean from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A right hook to the body lands for Thomas .
Bean wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Thomas leaning his opponent against the cage.
Bean is trying to pull guard but Thomas turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Bean has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Bean fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucius Bean. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Thomas tries to stall but Bean uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bean has had enough of the clinch but Thomas keeps him there for the moment.

Bean pulls guard effortlessly.

Bean escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thomas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Thomas tries to free his leg and advance position but Bean is retaining full guard.
Bean really is a fat lump.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thomas wants to control from the top but Bean keeps moving.
Thomas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Thomas is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bean is trying to control the position but Thomas postures up.
Bean avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bean throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Thomas throws a head kick that Bean semi-blocks.

It looks like Lucius Bean has been cut.
Bean swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bean shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thomas but Thomas pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thomas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bean's head backwards.

Thomas drops Bean with a beautiful combination! Bean stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Thomas is looking for the KO!

Bean is rocked!
Thomas throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Bean crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
