Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Ljashko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsuya Yasumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yasumi has chosen Lunchmoney Lewis-Real Thing as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Ljashko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katsuya Yasumi!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ljashko tries to clinch but Yasumi moves out of range.

It looks like Katsuya Yasumi has been cut.

Ljashko drives through and clinches with Yasumi against the ropes.

It seemed like Yasumi was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ljashko feints and then cracks Yasumi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Yasumi down.
Yasumi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ljashko can pounce on him.
Ljashko tries to close the distance and clinch but Yasumi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Yasumi flicks out a counter leg kick but Ljashko steps away.
Ljashko connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Ljashko throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Yasumi now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Yasumi takes a shot right to the bread basket.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Yasumi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ljashko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Yasumi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ljashko.
Yasumi throws a big counter head kick but Ljashko avoids it with no problem.
Ljashko misses with a few strikes there.
Ljashko is looking to clinch but Yasumi is avoiding it.
Yasumi doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Yasumi stops Ljashko from getting back to his feet.

Yasumi misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ljashko is not content to let Yasumi control the position.

Ljashko is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Russian Top Team Elite Gym that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Ljashko is pushing Yasumi's head away, looking to escape. Yasumi manages to hold on to the position though.

Ljashko tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Yasumi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

and Yasumi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Ljashko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yasumi sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Ljashko goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Yasumi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Ljashko after a bit of a struggle.
Ljashko lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Yasumi creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Oleg Ljashko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Katsuya Yasumi.
Ljashko is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

Yasumi ducks straight into an uppercut from Ljashko and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Yasumi manages to regain guard straight away.

Ljashko gets to his feet - Yasumi follows without any prompting.
Yasumi is still on wobbly legs! Can Ljashko finish him?
Yasumi gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Oleg Ljashko!
In defeat, Katsuya Yasumi stepped up to the mic, saying 'Tokiniwa jinsei wa suimasu'.
