Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David C. Marvin and Zadimus Delacroix. Marvin comes into the arena with Superman Theme blaring out of the sound system. Zadimus Delacroix will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delacroix throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Zadimus Delacroix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice defenses there by Marvin.
Delacroix misses with a combination
and Marvin makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Delacroix really felt that one!

Delacroix uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Delacroix pushes Marvin up against the cage in a clinch.

Marvin is working an open guard so Delacroix takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Marvin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Delacroix!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Delacroix wants to control but Marvin is having none of it.
Delacroix really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marvin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Delacroix is trying to reverse the position but instead Marvin has taken his back - oops!
Marvin has good solid back control here.

Delacroix tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Marvin wants to control the pace but Delacroix is squirming around nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Delacroix tries to escape but Marvin has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Delacroix felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Delacroix looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Marvin working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Delacroix is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Marvin has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Delacroix taps out!
