Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Muhammed Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Mcgregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrew Mcgregor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Muhammed Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrew Mcgregor!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgregor tries for a takedown but Castro circles away easily
and Castro counters with a series of strikes. Mcgregor will be more careful next time no doubt.
Mcgregor throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Castro takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

and Castro makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Castro swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Castro closes the distance and pushes Mcgregor back into the cage.
Castro is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mcgregor can do to turn this around?
Mcgregor is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Castro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Mcgregor shoots in and drives through. Castro sprawls well.

A counter left hand to the body from Castro misses its target.
Castro throws a sloppy head kick and Mcgregor moves out of range easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Castro.
Mcgregor bucks up and tries to throw Castro off but instead Castro has got his back!

Castro is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Mcgregor defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Castro controls the position.
Castro's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Mcgregor is trying to remain composed but Castro is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Castro is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Mcgregor with him. Mcgregor is trying to defend but Castro has an arm under the chin now! Mcgregor grimaces and is forced to tap out!
