With a record of 17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Slade Traylor!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hess lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like Slade Traylor has been cut.
Traylor throws a hook to the side of Hess's head but Hess sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hess appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Hess lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hess jabs Traylor right on the nose. Traylor blinks but takes it well.
Hess scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hess throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A countering left hand to the body from Traylor misses.
Hess throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Traylor ducks under a wild hook from Hess.
Traylor throws a hook but Hess blocks it.
Hess is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Hess is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hess throws a body shot but no joy.

Hess lands a big head kick that sends Traylor tumbling to the mat! Hess takes a step backwards and waves Traylor back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Jon Hess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Traylor has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

It seemed like Traylor was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Traylor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Traylor circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Hess to the canvas! Hess doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Traylor keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Slade Traylor!
