The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnstown lands an overhand right.
It looks like Roman Sionis has been cut.
Johnstown throws a body punch but Sionis moves out of range.
Johnstown tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnstown explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Johnstown steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sionis.
Sionis takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Johnstown looks to land a combination but Sionis avoids it well.
Johnstown is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sionis.

Johnstown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sionis throws a big counter head kick but Johnstown avoids it with no problem.
Johnstown swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sionis counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Johnstown tries to clinch but Sionis is having none of it.
Sionis lands a head kick. Johnstown smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Sionis digs a good body shot into Johnstown's ribs.

Sionis swings for the body but Johnstown moves out of range.
Johnstown throws a counter high kick but Sionis was just alert enough to avoid it.
Johnstown throws a head kick that misses.
Johnstown throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sionis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sionis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Johnstown momentarily.
Johnstown is rocked!
Sionis is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Johnstown had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Sionis throws an uppercut from hell that sends Johnstown clean off his feet! He's out cold! Sionis stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

After winning the bout, Roman Sionis thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
