Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuya Shiroo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The RocknRolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shiroo's entrance music is The Gazette / Filth In The Beauty. A fine choice. RocknRolla has chosen Led Zeppelin / Stairway To Heaven as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tetsuya Shiroo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The RocknRolla!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shiroo throws a quick inside leg kick.
RocknRolla feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Shiroos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!


It looks like Tetsuya Shiroo has been cut.
Shiroo tries to land a leg kick but RocknRolla saw it coming and moves away.
Shiroo on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Shiroo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Shiroo walks into a left hand.
RocknRolla lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
RocknRolla cracks the inside of Shiroo's front leg.
RocknRolla misses with a kick to the body.
Shiroo tried to counter with a leg kick but RocknRolla avoided it.
Shiroo throws out a loose jab but RocknRolla uses good head movement to avoid it.
RocknRolla throws a big counter head kick but Shiroo avoids it with no problem.
RocknRolla stalks Shiroo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Shiroo's face. Shiroo staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shiroo throws a push kick but RocknRolla slaps the foot to one side.
RocknRolla throws a leg kick that misses.
Shiroo staying out of range there.
Shiroo digs a good hook to RocknRolla's body.
RocknRolla throws a jab when Shiroo was well out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shiroo scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Shiroo tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and RocknRolla is able to avoid easily.
Shiroo jabs RocknRolla right on the nose. RocknRolla blinks but takes it well.
RocknRolla misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
As RocknRolla backs away, Shiroo returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
RocknRolla throws a nice head kick!


Tetsuya Shiroo's cut is getting worse.
Shiroo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Shiroo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
RocknRolla throws a head kick but Shiroo moves out of range.
Shiroo is looking to counter punch.
Shiroo dodges the punch combination from RocknRolla.
RocknRolla tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
RocknRolla throws a hook but Shiroo blocks it.

Shiroo connects with a vicious head kick that knocks RocknRolla to the floor! Shiroo dives in looking for the finish!


It looks like The RocknRolla has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shiroo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Shiroo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
RocknRolla makes his way to full guard. A much better position for RocknRolla.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shiroo wants to control from the top but RocknRolla keeps moving.
We've been hearing good reports from Shiroo's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Shiroo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Shiroo won't allow RocknRolla to sweep him here.
Shiroo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Shiroo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by RocknRolla, who protects the arm well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Shiroo has hold of RocknRolla's arm. He's looking for a kimura. RocknRolla seems comfortable defending it but Shiroo has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! RocknRolla is real pain and he's forced to tap out! RocknRolla is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Shiroo couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tetsuya Shiroo!
Tetsuya Shiroo decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
