Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Randy Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Jones!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Stone displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
Stone darts in looking for a takedown but Jones gets double underhooks and turns Stone into the cage.

Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Jones has closed the distance and engaged Stone in a clinch.

Stone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Stone tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.
Stone has Jones pressed against the cage, preventing Jones from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Stone has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jones after a bit of a struggle.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Stone drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard.

Stone is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jones sees it coming and defends easily.

Jones slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Stone drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones!

Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Stone avoids it really well and circles away.

Jones darts in looking for a takedown but Stone gets double underhooks and turns Jones into the cage.
Stone is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jones.

Stone with an attempt at a knee that misses.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Stone jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Stone gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Stone is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top!

Randy Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stone as he avoids it easily.

Stone fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Jones moves into range and clinches up with Stone.
Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Jones is looking to break free of the clinch but Stone has double underhooks.
Jones has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Jones throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Stones head.
Stone misses with a knee strike.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A right-left combo lands from Jones.

Jones lands a left and a right that send Stone crashing to the mat, dazed. Jones thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Stone is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Jones has cracked Stone with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Jones lands another huge swinging hook and Stone tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Stone, before Jones can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ben Jones!
