Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Julius Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augustus Tyger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julius Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Augustus Tyger!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyger looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Tyger wants to free his trapped foot but Evans is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Evans controlling the position well.
Evans might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tyger looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Tyger is keen to just control but Evans is a slippery customer.
Tyger is controlling the pace.
Tyger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evans keeps working.
Evans is controlling Tyger's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Tyger winds up and cracks Evans with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Tyger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evans keeps working.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Tyger throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Evans's waist but Evans gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tyger off to one side.
Evans looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Evans moves into the clinch.
Tyger wants a takedown but no success here.

Evans seems a little lost for a moment, as Tyger dominates the positioning.
You can see the frustration on Evans's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tyger has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Tyger cracks Evans with a solid left hand.
Tyger wants to stand but Evans has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Evans is on top in guard.

Tyger is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Tyger has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Evans wants to control but Tyger is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Augustus Tyger showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Evans's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Tyger lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Evans at a distance.
Tyger shoots in for a takedown but Evans shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Evans forces Tyger back against the cage and clinches.
Tyger is trying to drag Evans to the mat but Evans just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Tyger escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tyger throws a shot to the body.

Tyger tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Evans defends well and Tyger ends up having to push Evans into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Evans has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Evans is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tyger is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Evans to the mat. Evans regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Evans seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Tyger stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evans swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tyger takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Evans has a closed guard, preventing Tyger from standing up.

A head kick from Tyger lands but Evans takes it in his stride.


It looks like Julius Evans has been cut.
Tyger lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Evans tries to clinch up.

Tyger throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Evans was covering up waiting for the punch and Tyger finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Evans is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tyger is aware though and is defending well.

Tyger gets to his feet. Evans looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Julius Evans has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Augustus Tyger is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Augustus Tyger comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tyger has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
