Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beach Bum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Black Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Black Coleman!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bum misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bum won't be happy with that.
Coleman cracks Bum with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Bum is not content to let Coleman control the position.
Bum's coaches at have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Coleman working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bum takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Bum tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Coleman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Coleman is sitting in close to Bum's body. Bum has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Coleman is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Coleman is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Bum.
