PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Bastard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bambi Bonecrusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastard misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bastard throws a left and a right that both miss

and Bonecrusher counters by clinching up.
Bastard wants to get back to striking at distance but Bonecrusher won't allow it.

Bastard pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bastard not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bonecrusher wants to control from the top but Bastard keeps moving.
Bonecrusher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bastard swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bastard tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bonecrusher manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A slapping body kick lands there for Bonecrusher.

Bastard goes for a double leg but Bonecrusher avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bonecrusher continues to drive forward.

Bonecrusher throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bastard.

and Bonecrusher makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Bonecrusher looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bonecrusher takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Barry Bastard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bastard is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bonecrusher has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bonecrusher!

That was a close second round but I would say that Barry Bastard will probably get the nod.

That's time! Bastard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Bastard moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Bonecrusher slaps away a takedown attempt from Bastard, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Bonecrusher closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bastard to the mat! Bastard manages to get full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bastard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bonecrusher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Let's hope that Bonecrusher has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bonecrusher is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bastard's half guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bastard tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bonecrusher sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bastard somewhat.

Bambi Bonecrusher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bonecrusher has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
