Am comes to the cage accompanied by Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Part II. The crowd seem to be enjoying Carroll's choice of entrance music: Horse Outside. I Am could well score a knockout today. The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Am.
Carroll tries to clinch but Am moves out of range.
Carroll lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Am at a distance.
Am moves out of range of the strikes.
As Carroll looks to move away, Am throws a big counter combo but Carroll just gets out of the way.
Am avoids the head kick by Carroll.

Am appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Carroll bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Am's head backwards.
Carroll tries a head kick but it misses.
Am is looking for a counter combo.
Carroll jabs Am right on the nose. Am blinks but takes it well.
Am throws a big shot that misses.

Am drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Am is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Am is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Carroll tries to kick Am off but Am keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Am is looking to stall here but Carroll recovers full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that I Am will probably get the nod.

Carroll throws a looping overhand right but Am ducks down to avoid it.

Carroll throws a big counter head kick but Am avoids it with no problem.

Am shoots in and bounces Carroll off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Carroll is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Am dives into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Am in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Carroll tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Am!
