PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Damozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Breeze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Breeze told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Breeze shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Damozzi sprawls well. Damozzi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Breeze gets slowly back to his feet.

Damozzi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Damozzi wants it to stay on the feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Damozzi connects with a nice short shot to Breeze's temple.
Damozzi is trying to control the action in half guard but Breeze is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Breeze escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Damozzi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Breeze bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Damozzi's guard.

Breeze with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Damozzi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like Damozzi has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
