Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robledo Puch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Parke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Puch comes to the cage accompanied by Breathe. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Robledo Puch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Parke!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parke throws a body shot but no joy.

Puch looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Puch sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Puch working the head and body with strikes.
Puch thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Parke is pressing down on Puch's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Parke tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Parke looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Puch has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Puch working some strikes from top position.
Puch postures up in Parke's guard and throws a big left but Parke blocks it.
Parke tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Parke keeps trying to improve his position.
Puch keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Parke's head.
Puch working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Puch stopping the sweep attempt from Parke.
Puch is looking to work some ground and pound but Parke has wrist control.
Puch trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Parke pulls Puch in close to his closed guard and prevents Puch from doing any damage or advancing position.
Puch won't allow Parke to sweep him here.

Puch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Puch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Parke has Puch pulled in close to control his posture.
Parke's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Puch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Parke works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Puch throws a strike but Parke rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Puch has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Parke doesn't defend quickly enough and Puch has managed to lock this one up! Can Parke escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Puch on a fantastic submission victory.
