Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mariano Neal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jay Scott has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mariano Neal's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Mariano Neal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Scott!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neal tries to keep at a distance but Scott has taken the fight into the clinch.
Neal effectively controlling the action here.

Neal really is a fat lump.
Neal tries to pull guard but Scott forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Scott pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scott wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scott pushes Neal off and gets back to his feet.

Scott tries to get to full guard but Neal has control of the leg.
Neal wants to stand but Scott has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Scott is looking to control Neal's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Scott avoid being mounted?
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Scott tries to kick Neal off in order to stand up. Neal Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Scott tries to improve position but can't.
Neal creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Scott sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Scott tries to escape but Neal is in control.

Scott wants to control but Neal postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Neal doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Neal gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Neal tries to stall but Scott uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Scott is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Neal can't fight it off and eventually Scott manages to take the fight to the floor. Neal looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Scott is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Neal has momentary wrist control but Scott slips an elbow through the middle.

Scott looks to land a combination but Neal avoids it well.

and Scott takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Scott has managed to clinch.
Neal trying to control the position but instead, Scott has worked for underhooks and has pushed Neal into the cage.

Scott has clasped his hands together around Neal's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Scott is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Neal will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Scott is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Neal has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neal might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Scott is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Neal rather than just go for the knockout.

Scott is looking to control Neal's arms but Neal gets an underhook and turns him. Now Scott has his back to the cage.

and Neal counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Neal closes the distance and clinches.
Neal tries to stall but Scott uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Neal connects with a nasty looking knee right to Scott's face.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Mariano Neal.

and Neal counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Neal fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Scott shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Scott rushes Neal and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Neal takes a knee right on the jaw!

Jay Scott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Neal is rocked!


It looks like Mariano Neal has been cut.
Scott cracks Neal's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Neal slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Scott can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jay Scott!
