Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clayton Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Bob has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Clayton Cote!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bob Bob!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bob clinches with his opponent.
Bob stalling in the clinch.

Bob successfully pulls guard.
Bob controlling the position.
Bob wants to stand and escape but Cote is having none of it.
Bob managing to control the position.

Cote drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bob looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bob looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bob!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Cote is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bob's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bob passes to side control.
Cote tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cote is trying to get back to his feet.
Cote is trying to escape the position but Bob is controlling the position.
Cote can't do much from the bottom here.
Cote could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Cote manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bob keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Cote tries to roll over but Bob keeps him under control.

Bob is looking for a kimura but Cote is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bob to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bob is thwarting Cote's attempts to control the position.
Bob is taking a breather. Cote says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Cote wants to control but Bob is keeping busy.
Cote flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Cote might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bob stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Cote to get to his feet.

Cote gets caught napping as Bob dives in and scores a takedown. Cote manages to retain guard.
Bob postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bob won't allow Cote to sweep him here.
Cote is breathing heavily.
Bob pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cote is keeping the position for now.
Bob keeps trying to improve his position.

Bob stands and steps away. Cote gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Bob lands a slapping body shot.

Bob rushes Cote and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bob gets control of Cote's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bob will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Bob has his foot on Cote's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cote works his way back into a safe position though.

Bob looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cote has picked Bob up and slammed him! Bob can't keep hold of the triangle and Cote manages to pass to side control!
Bob is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cote is controlling him well.

Cote looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bob is looking for a sweep.
Bob is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Bob controlling the position well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bob flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Bob dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Cote tries to clinch there but Bob circles away.
Bob looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Cote tries to clinch but Bob moves out of range.
Bob tries to counter by closing the distance.

Bob closes the distance and clinches.

Bob pulls Cote into guard.
Bob pulls Cote in close to prevent any damage.
Cote stopping the sweep attempt from Bob.

Bob throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cote escapes and throws Bob's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Bob tries to strike from the bottom but misses.

Bob is looking for a sweep.
Bob wants to control but Cote postures up.

Bob throws Cote to one side and escapes!

Bob closes the distance and clinches.

Bob lands a takedown into guard.
Cote trying to keep a closed guard but Bob is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bob looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Bob looking to pass the guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bob engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Bob trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cote's guard.

Cote isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bob stacks Cote on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bob!

Bob decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Bob throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cote tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bob is in Cote's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bob throwing strikes but missing.

Bob controlling from the top position.
Bob looking to pass the guard.
Cote is trying to control the position but Bob postures up.

Bob avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bob not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bob has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cote working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Bob has passed into half guard!

Bob is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cote sees it coming and defends easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bob not doing much here.
Bob uses his free foot to push down on Cote's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cote.
Bob is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cote can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
A nice elbow there by Bob.

Bob wants to finish this one by submission but Cote is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bob.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cote tries to control Bob's body but Bob pushes him off. Cote squirms to his side and now Bob has his back!
Bob throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Cote!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Bob showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Cote shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bob sprawls well. Bob wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cote gets slowly back to his feet.

Bob feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bob tries to pass to full mount but Cote defends it.
Bob takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Bob is working for a kimura but Cote is defending it quite comfortably.
Cote is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bob controlling the action here.
Cote tries to roll over but Bob keeps him under control.
Bob throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Cote is looking to escape.
Cote is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
Bob seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The fighters are battling for position here. Cote manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bob must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Cote looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bob is one step ahead there.

Cote is trying to control the position but Bob postures up.
Bob is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Clayton Cote is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bob closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Bob decides to stand back up. Bob steps back and let's Cote get back to his feet.
Cote tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bob swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As Cote backs off Bob throws a huge counter combo but Cote manages to avoid it all.
Bob misses with a wild body shot.
Cote looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Bob shoots in and bounces Cote off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Clayton Cote has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bob Bob is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Bob has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
