Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ezra Mcfadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Lucentini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ezra Mcfadden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fabio Lucentini!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lucentini gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Lucentini decides to pull guard.
Mcfadden looking to sit in guard and control but Lucentini gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Lucentini has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
It looks like Lucentini might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Mcfadden shoots in for a takedown but Lucentini shows good takedown defense.

Mcfadden tries to pull guard but Lucentini won't allow it.

Lucentini has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Mcfadden is trying to keep an underhook but Lucentini manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Ezra Mcfadden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lucentini tries a low kick but Mcfadden avoids it.
Mcfadden moves in looking to clinch but Lucentini pushes him off.
Lucentini changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Lucentini gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mcfadden regains guard.

Lucentini goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mcfadden turns into him and now he's in Lucentini's guard.

Lucentini is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mcfadden presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Mcfadden is trying to push Lucentini away but Lucentini has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Lucentini gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Lucentini seems content to control.
Lucentini works his way into side control.
Mcfadden is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lucentini has knee on belly momentarily but Mcfadden bucks him off and regains half guard.

Lucentini is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Lucentini seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Mcfadden has recovered full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fabio Lucentini showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Lucentini drives through and clinches with Mcfadden against the cage.
Lucentini looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Mcfadden can't break the clinch.

Lucentini is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mcfadden can't fight it off and eventually Lucentini manages to take the fight to the floor. Mcfadden looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lucentini is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Lucentini gets to his feet - Mcfadden follows without any prompting.

Lucentini closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Lucentini wants to work for an arm triangle but Mcfadden is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Fabio Lucentini has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mcfadden is looking to control Lucentini's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mcfadden avoid being mounted?
Lucentini throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Mcfadden to regain full guard.
Mcfadden really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lucentini postures up in Mcfadden's guard and throws a big left but Mcfadden blocks it.
Lucentini is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lucentini's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Lucentini shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mcfadden manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Mcfadden is trying to escape the position but Lucentini is controlling the position.
Fabio Lucentini is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lucentini has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Well Lucentini has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
