Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marian Balkon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Couture comes to the cage accompanied by Mama said knock you out. Brandon Couture has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture misses with a hook
and Balkon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Couture walks into a straight right hand from Balkon.
Balkon keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Balkon scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Balkon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Balkon getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Couture misses with an uppercut
and Balkon counters with a stiff right hand.
Balkon has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Balkon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Couture walks into a stiff left hand from Balkon.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Couture throws out a loose jab but Balkon uses good head movement to avoid it.
Couture misses with a lunging right hand
and Balkon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Balkon lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Couture shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Couture misses with a looping left.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Balkon! But no joy.
Couture swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and Couture takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Couture takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Balkon ducks under a wild hook from Couture.
Balkon throws out a powerful jab.
Couture is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Balkon's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Couture swings widly with a right hand
enabling Balkon to counter with a crisp jab.
Balkon might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Couture drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Balkon has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Couture is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Balkon now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Couture throws a hook but Balkon avoids it easily.
Couture misses with an uppercut.
Couture has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Couture there as he acknowledges the shot.
Couture takes one on the button.
Couture takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Balkon blocks a head kick by Couture.
Good standup being displayed there by Balkon as he connects with a hook.
Couture doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Couture 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Couture looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Brandon Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Couture gets tackled into the cage by Balkon. Balkon maintains the clinch.
Balkon makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Balkon lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A short uppercut from Balkon.
A short right from Balkon on the inside.
Couture lands an uppercut.

Balkon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Couture takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Balkon lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Balkon lands a head kick!

Couture is rocked!
Couture throws a poor cross that misses
and Balkon counters with a stiff right hand.
Oh Couture is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A decent looking cross lands there for Balkon.
Good exchange - Balkon coming out on top.
Couture misses with an uppercut. Balkon saw that one coming.
Balkon lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Balkon has closed the distance and engaged Couture in a clinch.
Balkon working the clinch nicely. Couture is working for position but Balkon cracks him with a big knee to the head! Couture crumples up against the cage and Balkon lands two more shots before the ref can save Couture! This one is all over!
