Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Macellaio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lazuran Riku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lazuran Riku will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macellaio is looking to clinch but Riku is avoiding it.
Macellaio misses with a body shot.
Riku bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Macellaio lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Riku's coach down at Cutthroat was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Riku's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Macellaio looks to throw the jab but Riku is out of range.
Riku cracks Macellaio with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Macellaio keeps Riku at a distance using the push kick.
Riku throws a jab but it's blocked by Macellaio.
Riku lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Macellaio drops his hands momentarily and Riku takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Giovanni Macellaio has been cut.
Macellaio throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Macellaio tries to close the distance and clinch up but Riku swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Riku connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Riku fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Macellaio takes a swing at Riku's ribcage but misses.
Riku looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Macellaio is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Riku.
Macellaio cracks Riku with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Riku on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Macellaio. Macellaio obviously looking to wear him down.

Riku tries to land a front kick but Macellaio steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Macellaio fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Riku manages to avoid it.
Riku looks like he wants to counter punch here.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Macellaio moves in looking to clinch but Riku pushes him off.

Macellaio swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Riku looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Macellaio rushes Riku and presses him up against the cage.
Macellaio is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Riku pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Riku's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've been hearing reports that Macellaio has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

and Riku cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Macellaio tries to score a power double leg takedown but Riku sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Macellaio somewhat.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Riku. Macellaio shrugs it off though.

Macellaio throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Riku's waist but Riku gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Macellaio off to one side.

Riku uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Macellaio tries to clinch but Riku moves out of range.

Riku with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Oh Macellaio is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Riku counters with a left to the body.
Macellaio seems to have got his legs back now.
Riku moves out of range of the body kick.
Macellaio tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Riku connects with a jab.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
and Riku counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Macellaio! He's just covering up as Riku starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lazuran Riku!
Lazuran Riku decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
