Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Buchanan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buchanan rushes Schmidt and presses him up against the cage.
Buchanan tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Buchanan misses with a punch on the inside.

Schmidt breaks from the clinch.
Buchanan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A big right from Schmidt misses.
Buchanan cracks Schmidt with a right hand to the side of the head.
Buchanan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Schmidt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Schmidt looks to land a body kick but Buchanan moved away.
Schmidt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Buchanan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Schmidt misses with a hook. Buchanan ducked under it nicely.

Buchanan ducks right into an uppercut from Schmidt.

Buchanan throws a body shot but no joy.
Buchanan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Buchanan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Schmidt circles away from the clinch attempt.

Schmidt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Schmidt throws a body shot but no joy.
Buchanan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Buchanan takes one to the chin there.

Schmidt looks to land a combination. Buchanan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Schmidt lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Buchanan takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
James Buchanan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schmidt looks to score with a jab to the body but Buchanan is just out of range.

Buchanan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Buchanan is rocked!
Schmidt drops Buchanan with a huge uppercut! Buchanan drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Schmidt is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
