The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tow takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Machado looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Tow!
Machado is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tow is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Tow pushes Machado away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Machado gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Machado definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Machado stalling away here and it's allowed Tow to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tow is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Machado's half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Machado is not content to let Tow control the position.

Machado is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tow pulls his head out easily.

Tow is looking to take a break and control but Machado is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Machado might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tow lands a nice short elbow.
It looks like Roger Machado has been cut.

Big Tow was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
