Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Victor Cherry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toussaint Louverture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Toussaint Louverture told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Louverture wants to clinch up but Cherry keeps it at a distance.
Cherry tries to keep at a distance but Louverture has taken the fight into the clinch.
Louverture lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Cherry.
Cherry jumps guard but Louverture turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Cherry is trying to pull guard but Louverture has him pressed against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Louverture creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Cherry tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Louverture has his foot on Cherry's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cherry works his way back into a safe position though.

Louverture shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cherry but Cherry pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Louverture fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cherry, pushing him back against the cage.
Oh Cherry is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Louverture jerks Cherry's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Cherry drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Louverture goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Louverture because Cherry was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
