Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earl Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Anselmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anselmo has chosen Domination as his entrance music. Phil Anselmo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil Anselmo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anselmo misses with a looping left.
Jack drops down looking for a counter takedown but Anselmo sprawls and moves away.

Anselmo looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Jack keeping moving, preventing Anselmo from controlling successfully.
Jack knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anselmo on the ground.

Jack is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Anselmo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jack swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Anselmo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jack has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anselmo has managed to get both his arms back between Jack's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jack on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jack tries to get out of the position.
Anselmo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jack!

Anselmo doesn't have the hooks in and Jack manages to turn into his guard.

Anselmo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jack drops back, looking for a kneebar! Anselmo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Anselmo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Anselmo!

Jack tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Anselmo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Anselmo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Anselmo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jack wants to improve his position but Anselmo is controlling well.

Anselmo tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jack knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Jack is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Anselmo pulls his head out easily.

Anselmo seems to be working for a kimura but Jack defends the submission attempt.

Anselmo wants to control but Jack is keeping him busy.
Jack tries to bench press Anselmo off him but Anselmo keeps the position.
Jack manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Jack is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Anselmo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jack.

Jack is working for a submission of some sort.

Jack is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Anselmo as he works his way to full guard.
Anselmo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jack stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anselmo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jack won't allow Anselmo to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phil Anselmo dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jack drops down looking for a counter takedown but Anselmo sprawls and moves away.

Jack gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jack had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Anselmo defends it easily.

Jack looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Anselmo has picked Jack up and slammed him! Jack can't keep hold of the triangle and Anselmo manages to pass to side control!

Anselmo is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Jack has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Anselmo trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Jack doesn't escape.

Anselmo is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Jack is defending well though. Anselmo let's go of the attempt for now.

Well, with Anselmo on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Jack is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Anselmo is trying to stick to Jack's back but Jack is turning into Anselmo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Anselmo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jack.

Jack is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Anselmo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Anselmo has escaped and now he's on top!

Jack escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Anselmo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Anselmo wants to control from the top but Jack keeps moving.
Anselmo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that Anselmo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jack has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Anselmo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jack.

Anselmo looking to isolate an arm here. Jack doesn't see it coming and as Anselmo extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Anselmo!

Our winner, Phil Anselmo, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Earl Jack was interviewed post fight and said 'Well I suck. I guess its back to the drawing board now'.
