Wasa dives in for a single leg takedown but Funkyama sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Wasa felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wasa has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Wasa has hold of Funkyama's leg, trying to break free but it's let Funkyama lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Wasa is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Funkyama throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
