Coming up we have a middleweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Katsu Kurosawa and Jonthan Henry . Henry has chosen hit em up as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Katsu Kurosawa! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 0 losses; Jonthan Henry !
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.


Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious?

Henry drives through and clinches with Kurosawa against the cage.
Kurosawa tries for a takedown. No joy.
Henry prevents a takedown attempt there.
Henry has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kurosawa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Henry has Kurosawa pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Henry pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kurosawa tumbling to the mat - Henry dives into Kurosawa's guard.

Kurosawa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Henry gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Henry trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Henry is stalling in the full guard.
Henry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kurosawa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Henry 's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Kurosawa has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Kurosawa is looking for a triangle but Henry pushes his legs off easily.
Kurosawa keeping full guard, as Henry tries to pass.
Henry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kurosawa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kurosawa has his foot on Henry 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Henry works his way back into a safe position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Henry seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Henry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Henry sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Let's hope that Henry has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Kurosawa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kurosawa looking for a triangle here. Henry is fighting it but it looks tight! Kurosawa pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Henry is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Katsu Kurosawa!
