Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Michael Collins and Cono McGregor. Collins comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys. McGregor is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: foggy dew. Cono McGregor told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Michael Collins! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Cono McGregor!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Sam Margolis.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
McGregor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Collins is fending him off so far but McGregor persists. Nope, Collins circles away and we're back to standing.
McGregor looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The fight stays on the outside here - McGregor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

McGregor darts in and clinches Collins up against the cage.
McGregor tries to pull guard but Collins holds him up against the cage and eventually McGregor drops back down to his feet.
McGregor is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Collins pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Collins's coaches at Montreal Fighter's Gym (5* Sparring) have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

McGregor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Collins defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McGregor drops back, looking for a kneebar! Collins looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Collins looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Collins!

Collins is looking to take a break and control but McGregor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Collins has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, McGregor has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
I really don't envy McGregor right now.

Collins is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. McGregor is defending well though. Collins let's go of the attempt for now.

McGregor is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Collins looking to break McGregor's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. McGregor remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Collins will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

McGregor is having to fend off submission attempts from Collins, who is looking to sink in the choke. Collins doesn't have the hooks in though and McGregor manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

McGregor is looking to advance position but Collins has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Collins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
