PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Asato Mikio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinny Wallione (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikio kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ain't No Grave. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallione takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Wallione scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Mikio misses with a looping left.

Wallione should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Wallione shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wallione was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
You can see the frustration on Mikio's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Mikio's coaches at The Bear's Den have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

In his post fight interview, Asato Mikio started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
