Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leonardo Leite!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leite chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Venables can pounce on him.
Leite has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Venables.
Leite throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Venables's waist but Venables gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Leite off to one side.
Venables fires out a quick counter leg kick but Leite just manages to avoid it.
Leite shoots for a double leg takedown but Venables sprawls well. He's pushed Leite's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A good leg kick by Venables.
Leite takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Venables fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Venables leaves Leite with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Joseph Venables has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonardo Leite.
Leite shoots in but no luck this time.
Venables lands a leg kick that knocks Leite off balance momentarily.
Leite shoots in and drives through. Venables sprawls well.
Venables appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Venables feints and then cracks Leite's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Leite down.

Leite changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Venables lands with an uppercut that bounces Leite off the cage and back into range.
Leite misses with a takedown attempt - Venables sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Venables is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Leite tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Venables moves into full guard.
Venables is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Leite is fighting to break Venables's control of his arms but Venables is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Venables lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Leite manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Venables on his heels. He'll look to pass Venables's guard now, I'm sure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leite looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Venables is defending well. Leite quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Venables has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Leite celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
