The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morueco tries to land a front kick but Palmeri steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Morueco tries to close the distance and clinch but Palmeri swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Palmeri ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It seemed like Palmeri was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Palmeri lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Morueco with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Palmeri to score with a decent uppercut.

Palmeri connects with a leg kick. Morueco looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Palmeri checks a leg kick.
Palmeri swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
