Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anton Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus Ragnarsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnus Ragnarsson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anton Archer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Magnus Ragnarsson!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Archer throws a combination. Ragnarsson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
A lazy left from Archer finds it's target.

Archer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Archer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Archer is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Ragnarsson is controlling an arm, preventing Archer from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Archer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ragnarsson is not content to let Archer control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ragnarsson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Archer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ragnarsson can do to turn this around?

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ragnarsson slips a nice elbow through Archer's hands, connecting with Archer's forehead.

Archer manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Ragnarsson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Archer is trying to trip Ragnarsson. He has hold of a leg but Ragnarsson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Archer persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Ragnarsson shoots in looking for a takedown. Archer tries to sprawl out of it but Ragnarsson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Archer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ragnarsson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Archer sprawls well. Archer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ragnarsson gets slowly back to his feet.

Anton Archer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ragnarsson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Archer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Archer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ragnarsson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Archer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ragnarsson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Archer can't do much from the bottom here.

Anton Archer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ragnarsson cracks Archer with a big right hand but Archer just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Anton Archer.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Archer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
