Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shirley Cameron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sunfire Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shirley Cameron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sunfire Jones!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones pushes Cameron up against the cage in a clinch.
Cameron jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Cameron gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cameron napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cameron keeps working.
Cameron is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.
Cameron avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jones.
Jones trying to control the action but Cameron is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jones throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Jones tries to score with some ground and pound. Cameron controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cameron keeps working.
Cameron manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Cameron could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cameron lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Cameron is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Cameron throws a big elbow that misses.
Cameron is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cameron is controlling him.

Cameron stands and steps away. Jones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Cameron counters with a left and a right that stings Jones.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cameron looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Jones instigates a clinch.

Jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cameron can't fight it off and eventually Jones manages to take the fight to the floor. Cameron looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Cameron is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jones dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cameron is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.

Jones throws a strike aimed at the side of Cameron's head but Cameron avoids it well.
Cameron is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jones's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Cameron wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Shirley Cameron will probably get the nod.

Sunfire Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cameron looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Cameron defends it well.

Jones shoots in and bounces Cameron off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Cameron is retaining full guard.
Cameron is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea.

Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jones postures up in Cameron's guard and throws a big left but Cameron blocks it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Cameron tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cameron is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Cameron has picked Jones up - he's going for a ride! Cameron dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jones kicks Cameron off and gets back to his feet.
Jones sizes up Cameron with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sunfire Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Jones misses with a double jab.

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Cameron gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Cameron is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jones looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Cameron's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Cameron goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jones prevents it.

Jones pulls Cameron in close to prevent any damage.
Cameron might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jones kicks Cameron off and gets to his feet.
Cameron keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Cameron throws a counter high kick but Jones was just alert enough to avoid it.

Cameron throws an elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cameron's guard. Nice move by Jones!

Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Cameron bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.

Jones is looking to sweep but instead, Cameron has passed into half guard.

Sunfire Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
