Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timothy McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Plitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGee comes into the arena with Invaders must die - The prodigy blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timothy McGee!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Plitt!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee throws a leg kick

and Plitt counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Plitt looking to pass the guard.
McGee wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Plitt stays in close to McGee's body and controls the position.
McGee not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGee lands with a hook. Plitt tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

McGee works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Plitt checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

That kick from McGee tenderised Plitt's leg. Plitt is trying to keep his angry face on.
McGee feints and then cracks Plitt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Plitt down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Plitt pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McGee is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
McGee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Plitt.
Plitt tries a quick counter leg kick but McGee is wise to it.
Timothy McGee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McGee ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Plitt moves away.

McGee is stalling here. Plitt is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! McGee seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Plitt has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Timothy McGee will probably get the nod.

Plitt uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McGee.

McGee shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than McGee was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McGee lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
McGee is nestled in close to Plitt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Plitt is trying to defend against the ground and pound but McGee scores with a couple of nice shots.
McGee looks to land a strike but Plitt avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Plitt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McGee's guard.

Plitt wants to stand and escape but instead McGee has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Plitt seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

McGee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McGee lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Plitt has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Plitt and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

McGee tries for a takedown but Plitt sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
McGee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McGee looks for the body kick but Plitt saw that one coming.

McGee scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from McGee is defended easily by Plitt.

McGee thuds his shin into the meat of Plitt's side.

McGee throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
McGee wants to clinch but Plitt slips to the side

and Plitt counters with a single leg into guard. McGee didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGee seems keen to control Plitt's posture.
Plitt stays in close to McGee's body and controls the position.
McGee looking for a sweep. Not yet McGee, not yet.

Plitt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Let's hope that Plitt has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That was a close round but Timothy McGee did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Timothy McGee will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Timothy McGee.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for McGee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
