PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brynden Epicity (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robledo Puch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Epicity might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Doomed User by Deftones. The crowd seem to be enjoying Puch's choice of entrance music: Breathe. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Epicity throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Epicity stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Epicity fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Robledo Puch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Puch, as that shot connected.
Puch swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Epicity has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Umbrella Laboratories in the buildup to the fight.

Epicity got a little sloppy there for a moment and Puch has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Epicity has managed to get both his arms back between Puch's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Brynden Epicity will probably get the nod.

Epicity will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Horrible takedown attempt by Puch or perhaps it was just good defense by Epicity, which made it look bad.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brynden Epicity.
