Mitchell comes to the cage accompanied by Ride The Lightning. Huber is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Enter Sandman. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mario Huber!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huber fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mitchell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mitchell appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Mitchell misses with a low kick as Huber jumps back.
We've been told by Mitchell's head coaches at [LOD]Berlin Giants that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Huber goes for a double leg but Mitchell avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mitchell continues to drive forward.
Tyke Mitchell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Huber.
Mitchell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Huber.
Huber shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mitchell sprawls well. Mitchell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Huber gets slowly back to his feet.
Mitchell misses with an uppercut. Huber saw that one coming.
Huber shoots for a takedown but Mitchell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Huber tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mitchell defends well and Huber ends up having to push Mitchell into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mitchell throws a low kick but Huber moves out of range easily.
Mario Huber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mitchell throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Huber sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Huber closes the distance and clinches up with Mitchell, looking for a takedown. Huber pushes Mitchell against the cage but Mitchell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Huber shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mitchell napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Huber creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mitchell sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Huber looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mitchell is avoiding damage well.
Mitchell tries to buck Huber off but Huber is having none of it.
Huber in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Mitchell is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Mitchell dodges the ground and pound from Huber.
Huber fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Mitchell is working to avoid the ground and pound but Huber connects with a decent elbow.

Huber is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mitchell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Huber misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Huber wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mitchell, who protects the arm well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Huber scores with punches from side control.
Huber throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Huber misses with the ground and pound.
Mitchell struggling a bit here.

Huber working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Huber has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Mitchell is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Huber yanks on the arm and Mitchell is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Huber.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mario Huber!

Mario Huber spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
